The whole problem can be stated quite simply by asking, 'Is there a meaning to music?' My answer would be, 'Yes.' And 'Can you state in so many words what the meaning is?' My answer to that would be, 'No.' - Aaron Copland

Celebrating our 75th Anniversary Season!

The Holy Name Band
Louisville, Kentucky

Founded in 1939 by the Holy Name Society, the Band is co-directed by Carolyn H. Cook and J.T. Taylor. No longer associated with the Society, the band is made up of volunteer members from all denominations and walks of life.

The Holy Name Band can be found most Monday nights either rehearsing at Saint X High School or playing for the residents and staff of local nursing homes, churches, community centers or any venue where good music is needed.
